Kappa Alpha Theta's beginning can be traced back to our highest aim - scholarship. As the first Greek letter fraternity for college women, Kappa Alpha Theta provided a unique opportunity for it's original members to seek support and encouragement for their academic pursuits outside of the classroom. At the Tau Chapter at Northwestern University, scholarship remains a cornerstone of our membership. With the highest academic requirement of any chapter on our campus, we consistently recruit women dedicated to their studies. We also encourage a diversity of educational focuses throughout our chapter. We proudly support members of all studies, including engineering, journalism, economics and theater, and look forward to their future professional and personal successes.
